Overpriced - Nikon Prostaff 3 Fieldscope Outfit 16-48x60

The tripod even on the lowest height wiggles and jiggles, unusable. I bought a different, sturdier one. In bright sunlight it is darker than it should be on the higher powers. The zoom is VERY stiff, causing one to completely readjust his/her aim after changing power. That may loosen up but the stiffness is surprisingly strong. The laignments "sights" molded into the body are unusable as well. Very tiny, and the rear groove sight sits below the height of the zoom ring so it is not visible. The case is a softside but does offer adequate protection if you are careful with it. Bottom line: order a differnt tripod at the same time so you can use the scopw when it arrives, use it only on bright sunny days........better yet, take a very close look at the competition before you jump at this one. I own three Nikon rifle scopes and they are great. Nikon did drop the ball this time though. This is a $99.00 scope at best.
