Picked this up to replace the Bushnell 3-9X40 that came with my Savage Model 10FP (donated that to my Ruger 10/22).
The Prostaff 3-9X40 has very clear optics, and an easy to focus on reticle. For my purposes, I chose the model 6320 with the integrated Bullet Drop Compensator (BDC). While the BDC is a bit tricky to setup, and takes a bit more time that simple click-notation ranging, it serves well in utility after it is properly setup, saving you (mostly) from click adjustments as your range adjustments are now available directly using the BDC. Its not perfect, but its pretty darn close.
Other than that, the Optic is simple to setup, has clear visibility, and good eye relief. I would have preferred to have finger-adjustable click knobs, rather than having to use the older (yet quite fine) sunken knobs that require a coin or some such other thin object to adjust them.
For those not looking to spend a fortune, yet get reasonably affordable 3-9X40 scope, I'd recommend this to anyone.
(Please note, while I do shop Opticsplanet, I did not purchase this here. However, I've had a good experience with this scope so I thought I'd post the review for others)
Pros: Clear optics, Bullet Drop Compensator (BDC),
Cons: A little tricky to setup the BDC, but worth it if you are patient. Not finger adjustable.
