Nikon Pro Staff 3-9X40
Serious optical instruments, just as Nikon claims. Affordable to boot! This series of scopes is as reliable and functional as those costing two and three times as much and their brightness and clarity greatly exceed that of others in the same price range. I have owned all three in the series (3-9...

Quick and easy
QUICK EASY SET UP 2 SHOTS AND I WAS CENTERED. GOING FROM A 20 YEAR OLD SCOPE..WOW OPTICS HAVE COME ALONG WAY. CLEARITY IS UNREAL. NO BLURRED UN-FOCUSED WHILE MOVING ON TARGET. A FRIEND OF MINE SHOWED ME HIS NIKKON AND THAT'S ALL THE RESEARCH I NEEDED, DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Great scope
Clear optics. Great magnification. I have not used it so I cannot give a full review. I will update the review after I take it to the range. What can I say, it’s a Nikon. I do not expect to have any issues.

Nikon scope
Bought this scope after I had watched some reviews on YouTube. Had a few hunting buddies who live by the Nikon name. They say you can’t beat the clarity and reliability of these scopes. The Nikon warranty seems to be good and was another reason for me choosing this scope for my 25-06

Great scope at a great price.
I bought the scope to put on my Marlin 45-70 rifle and went with the silver color to match the rifle (same rifle model as shown in Jurassic World movie). I also bought some rings at the same time, and together they look great on the rifle. I've yet to sight in the scope, but hope to do that shortly. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
Pros:
- Great looking
- great sight picture
- Price and install ease
Cons:
- none yet
Best Used for:
- hunting
- Recreational bench shooting.

Nikon 3-9x40 Prostaff Rifle Scope
Very nice scope for the money- very clear and bright. It was too big to mount on my model 94 30-30 so I sent it back and bought a smaller shorter range scope for more money. I'd have kept the Nikon if I could have made it work. Good scope.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- all around shooting

Essentially the same as
Essentially the same as the 3-9x40 Buckmaster but with a different focus setup. Buckmasters {I have several of those too) have the screw-in/out jamb-nut thing and this has the focus ring. Clear, bright, plenty of internal MOA adjustment. It takes recoil and hasn't bumped. It works in low light. It is a perfect general purpose scope.
Pros:
- value
- Function
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- General Purpose
- most anything

Great Scope
This is my 3rd Nikon scope I've purchased. They are super easy to sight
in. Usually it only takes 2 shots to get it zeroed in. The BDC reticle
is easy to use. I zero it in for a hundred yards, move out to 200 put
the cross hairs on the center and shoot. The bullet will hit low, line
the scope back to the center and you can see which mark to use for 200.

Since my husband has been having a little trouble with his very old scope I decided to purchased this Nikon 3-9x40 BDC scope for him for a birthday gift. He hasn't had a chance to use it yet. But it was recommended to him by our son and a couple of his hunting buddies. They are avid hunters.
