Great light at a reasonable price - Nite Hunter Illumination NHT500 Nite Hunter Tactical Light System W/Li-ion

I admit to being a bit of a flashlight geek but am on a limited budget since retiring from a career in law enforcement and was pleased to find this system when it came time to accessorize my old mini-14 ranch rifle. It has been in my possession for about 6 weeks, during which time I have had opportunity to test it both on and off the weapon. Mounting it on the weapon was straight-forward and simple. The mount remains secure after firing approx. 100 rounds through the weapon. I also carry the light itself with me almost daily (remember, I'm a flashlight geek) and use it frequently, so far without a hiccup. The bright setting is comparable with that of much higher priced systems and the tailcap switch has functioned flawlessly as well as the remote pressure switch when mounted on the rifle. Although I would prefer to have a dedicated switch for the strobe feature I assume that with more operating time, I will get more efficient cycling through the 3 settings to reach it.
Pros: excellent high beam illumination
Cons: would prefer a dedicated strobe switch but this is probably a case of an old dog learning a new trick and I suppose I will get used to cycling through the three settings over time.
