The kx5 does exactly what its designed to do. I have it on a AR15 in 7.62x39 with a 10.5 inch barrel, needless to say it was very loud and flashy to the shooter. The kx5 makes it much more enjoyable to shoot by directing the blast away from the shooter. It also increases the gas pressure in the gas system which is great for under gassed short barrel guns with little dwell time.
