Great Astro-Binoculars
This was my first toe into the waters of astronomy, and are actually my preference for general stargazing. Highly portable means that I can just take them with me anywhere, point, and observe.
These can split some binaries, view Andromeda galaxy, Orion Nebula (2-3 stars of the trapezium), clusters, and also provide depth and upright images that telescopes and some spotting scopes can't.
Even though these only weigh about 3 pounds, they are still too heavy to use without a tripod. Don't get me wrong...you can look at things without a tripod, but it jiggles a lot unless you lean over your ...

Perfect tool for Binocular Astronomy
I purchased this binocular mainly for astronomical observation.Actually I was amazed from my first view. I realized that this is the bino I was looking for.
It produces a crystal clear images...no any aberrations noted....I did many difficult huntings with the aid of a tripod...But you can do many observations without a tripod if you know the correct technique of bino grabbing.....
So I highly recommend this binocular to any one....

Quality and value!
I have 4 pairs of binoculars ans these are
the best yet. If you want a great pair of binoculars that will cover almost any type
of observation like astronomy, terrestrial observation, birds, planes well look no further. These are one of the biggest bang for the buck that Oberwerk as to offer.
