C.D. Woods's Review of Olight Baldr Pro 1350 Lumens LED Flashlight with Green Laser Sight

I've used this unit as a dedicated light on both .45acp EDC pistols and 5.56x45 AR platforms. The lights have held up exceptionally well under routine use and training conditions. Best features: Combined bright light and green laser *Solid Aluminum Construction *Clever mounting adjustment *Easily manipulative controls *Physical battery replacement. Cons: Laser/Light selection lever sits on the ventral side and could be bumped out of preferred placement. However, I've executed hundreds of draws from concealment and have never had this happen. I am all about value; and extensively research before making purchases. This unit satisfies the value-minded. It's a light! It allows positive ID when more light is needed. This is not a Gucci item and I would never lecture anyone about how they should spend. Sometimes highly lauted items truely deserve their accolades. But I will offer: Why pay more when it's not necessary?
Pros:
  • Solid aluminum construction
  • Combined bright light and green laser
  • Clever mounting adjustment
  • Easily manipulative controls
  • Physical battery replacement
  • Three distinct modes including strobe and check press on/off
  • The unit performs in wet weather (IPX4)
Cons:
  • Laser/Light selection lever sits on the ventral side and could be bumped out of preferred placement
