William Thee's Review of Opinel No 8 Ebony Folding Knife

A very fine "gentleman's folder". Fit and finish are excellent. Feels good in the hand. Blade is very sharp out of the box. Unique locking mechanism works well. It's somewhat delicate, so best suited for light-duty tasks. Ebony handle is quite attractive.
And...you're owning a product with a fine and long history.
