Does what it’s supposed to do - Kaw Valley Precision OPMOD Hybrid-K Linear Compensator

My primary decision to go with this comp was noise mitigation for my Fightlite SCR. Being a linear comp, it takes most of the gasses expended out the muzzle and directs it “linearly” downrange, effectively reducing (albeit marginally, relative to a suppressor) the rifle’s report (at least for those on either side of you). However, this comp has ports on the top as well, which are intended to redirect some of that gas up in order to counteract muzzle climb. The SCR is a flat shooter and was even with its stock, bare muzzle, so I can’t say how much of a difference the top ports make, but I can say that you can see gas/flames shoot up from the comp, in addition to out the front (no flash hiding here). So if you’re looking for a linear comp that throws a little gas upward as well, I think this is an excellent choice. Not to mention it’s readily pinned and won’t break the bank, unlike some of the blast diverters on the market.
