I bought this sight because the price was right, and the reviews on Osprey products on the internet said value for money was good. The optical clarity is good, not great. The rangefinder reticle lines are too fine, and hard to see even with parallax adjustment spot on. Illumination, especially green, seems to help my eyes see the crosshairs on the background better. The lowest marks go to the aperture diameter (the image size at the pupil). There is significantly less image output in diameter with this sight compared to other brands of the same dimension. This reduction in field of view is a significant impairment in competition, and allows the image to float around in the tube too much. Without a really good cheek weld, a shooter will have a tough time staying consistent shot to shot due to the image moving around too much. The big black ring around the image tells me the optics just aren't set right. I am going to go with another proven brand on my next purchase. I will likely replace this sight on the gun I mounted it on.
Pros: Durable, Adjustments and fit are all tight and crisp
Cons: Reticle lines too fine, Aperture too narrow
