Good produce, bad packaging - Otis Technology M-16 Soft Pack Cleaning System

I first used the Otis .223 soft pack cleaning system after a 2000 round shooting event. The kit contents are used a little differently than traditional cleaning equip but after you get the hang of it, work very well. The patch samples work well after you understand how they attach to the 'pull' system instead of the old push rod system. But cutting your own patches with the slots is so difficult that you WILL be buying the company made ones!.

The ONLY complaint I had was the cleaning kit container...it is THICk...too thick to put in any pocket and carry! it is padded and has a tip older of over 1/2 inch hard foam. Luckily, I have a sewing machine for sails and upholstery so in half an hour, using exterior seat cover vinel, I made a compact, zipered, flat wallet that will fit in shirt or pants pocket and hold everything from the kit...AND extra patches.

In conclusion, great cleaning system with the flex cable and tips but not practical in the field with out discarding the OEM container
Pros: Great portable rifle cleaning kit
Cons: Container is extreamly bulky
