Fits easily - Pachmayr AR 15 Recoil Pad

I bought a Pachmayr AR15 recoil pad for myself, and one for my son. Neither of us like the aggressive checkering on the butt stock of our ARs. Despite the rifles being 2 different brands, the recoil pads both went on with ease and stayed firmly in place. This is not a soft pad and does not really have any effect on the recoil, but on a rifle in 5.56 NATO it isn't really necessary. What it does do is make the part which contacts your shoulder fit more like a conventional rifle and it allows for easier movement when bringing the rifle up to your shoulder. I won't be having another AR15 without one of these. Filing down the annoying aggressive checkering on a typical AR butt stock is something which I do just to keep them from grabbing or scratching everything. For $10 and a lot less trouble, this device works.
