Its complicated - PARD Optics FD1850/F FD1-850 LRF 3.5x30mm Clip On Night Vision Rifle Scope

There are tons of features this scope offers. Most will never be used. I just wanted a simple setup to shoot close range critters at nite. I attached it to my FX Impact M3 .25 PCP that has a 500 dollar crystal clear Hawke scope. It comes with simple instruction book that really is not detailed enough. During daylight, all the ballistic features are useless. At best you can see a tennis ball sized target at 200 yards. This contraption makes my scope look like 20 dollar scope, very blurry. At night with all possible settings, I might make out a tennis ball at 50 yards. Everything looks like its underwater. I tried for hours to make this thing clearer. The video is not much better. And there is a feature that turns on the camera after the shot. Well, that is too late, you will never see the impact. duh. You need to turn it on manually before the shot. My gun is sighted in, dead on, hole in hole at 50 yards. When this is turned on, the impact is 4 inches high and the group is opened up. And no I'm not using the built in reticle, I don't even know how to turn it on. I have to play with this at different distances. The assembly did attach to the scope well. I serious doubt that it wouldn't start rotating after a few shots with my 30.06 ALL in all, I wish i didn't buy it. I might shoot a coyote at 50 yards, maybe a racoon. But don't think the images are even close to clear like on PARDS website, I would kill for half that clear. Hopefully PARD comes out with a video on how to really use this thing, because the instruction book is inadequate. Half the book is how to calibrate it for ballistics, and the scope is so blurry, you will never use this feature. I just wish the images at night looked liked the fancy promo on PARD's website, they don't. PARD just needs to make a unit without all the other features that we will never use. It has a built in gyroscope-wth. if you think you will use this for yardage on a golf course, forget it, you will never see the pin at 200 yards. I would give this 2 stars, but I'm hopeful that I can get this thing to become clearer somehow. Last night I shot a huge porcupine with my flashlight held under my gun and this unit removed, somehow it think I should just stick with that method.
