Realbud's Review of Partisan Triggers Disruptor AR-15 FRT 3 Position Drop In Forced Reset Rifle Trigger

If you wanna have fun, get this trigger. I had a little trouble installing it. Seems that the holes for the pins are not exact and required a tapered punch to get them aligned. Also, if you get any FRT, be aware that you will need a buffer that weighs between 4.6-5.4 ounces. Mine was only 3 oz and only cycled 29 rounds the first time and then it stopped working. Those first 29 rounds cycled extremely fast and gave me a big smile. After that, it would only cycle 2 or 3 rounds and then stop. It would alway stop with a round in the chamber and the hammer down. I did some reading and most recommendations were the 5.4oz buffer. I tried this first and it cycled great with M193 new ammo. Those rounds were new and hot, with a velocity of 3,300fps. I could tell that it cycled a bit slower with the heavy buffer, but worked reliably. I changed the buffer weight to 4.6oz and the M193 ammo had 1 failure and didnt lock open on empty. I ran several mags of reloads with the lighter buffer and those rounds cycled fine. I used 55gr bullets and 3 different brands of powder. (BLC2, H322, & TAC) The BLC2 seems to cycle the best at 3,100fps velocity. The TAC was slow to cycle because the rounds were only going about 2,700fps. The H322 worked OK, but I liked the way the gun sounded using the BLC2 powder better. Bottom line -use a buffer in the low 5oz range for factory (hot) rounds, and a mid to upper 4oz buffer for reloads that aren't quite as hot as the M193 rounds. Side note: I used an adjustable buffer made by Oden Works. It has 3 weights inside that make tuning easier and less expensive than buying individual buffers at different weights. Good luck
