Legacy Reviewer's Review of Pelican 1750 Protector Long Gun Case

You don't put a gun that cost you thousands of dollars in a $40 case, you want to protect it with the best case you can get and a Pelican is the only way to go in my opinion. Our guys in the sandbox are using these now, if it is good enough for them it is plenty for me. The clasps are very well designed, they close easy and hold tightly and the case material is very tough, mine has withstood knocks and drops well so far, I don't abuse it but I certainly don't baby it. The rubber seal makes it watertight and it floats, should you find yourself lost at sea.

There are 2 areas I did not give this case a 5, first was "easy to set up." It isn't actually that hard, but there is more to it that just pulling foam. You can use an electric knife to make your cuts as the instructions recommend, but making your own hot wire foam cutter is the way to go for a truly custom (awesome) fit. The other area that's not perfect was usability and the only reason for that is sheer size. Be sure this case will fit your needs by looking at the dimensions with a tape measure. In spite of the size, I manage to have it fit in my Jeep Wrangler just fine.

Otherwise there are three words that say more about the product than anything else I can think of, "Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee."
Pros: Very solid and strong case, great clasps, lockable, water tight and it floats.
Cons: It is somewhat cumbersome and relatively heavy
