I wore these the first time during a sporting clays tournament. During the tournament came a rainstorm and I was completely drenched. The Comtac shut
itself off (later I figured this had to be a safety feature) and I could not get it to turn back. After I got home and stripped the ears of the removable ear pads, water poured out of the cups where the electronics are housed. Naturally, I thought "there's $270 down the drain - literally". I let the ears dry over night and in the morning I installed the batteries and the ears worked just like they did out of the box. Seeing as how our military uses the same ears, I had hoped they were a little more "weather friendly". Turns out they are. Just the same, I wouldn't want to get caught in another storm wearing them. I originally bought these for an AR-15 tactical training class and I have no problems with interference on the buttstock. Great for hunting as well.
