When used with Pentax XW astronomical eyepieces this scope compares very well with scopes costing three times as much. XF zoom is very usable just doesn't yield as good an image as the fixed power eyepieces. Still at less than half of other high end ED scopes this scope should be considered a bargain.
Pros: Light and compact
Cons: Available XF Zoom does no justice for scope
