Quality and value...but discontinued - Peregrine Endurance 2 Tent - 2 Person, 3 Season

I was in this tent for 5+ hours in light to moderate rain today. Once I closed everything up, not one drop came in. A little warm (for late spring and summer) because of the lack of mesh but no problems with condensation or bugs, I suspect this tent will be perfect for my adventures in the fall and early winter. I plan to hike when the weather turns cooler...but not below 20F to 15F.

I really like this 2 person tent. Setup was straight forward (DAC aluminum tent poles) and fast. I had it up and staked out (Peregrine supplies 12 aluminum Shepard's hook stakes), minus guy lines (4 supplied and attached to the tent) in less than 10 minutes. Although the materials used are of good quality it's very basic, no frills (there's a rope that's strung completely around the top of the tent for drying clothes, etc. and a light hook)...but it gets the job done. The two doors are large with good zippers that didn't get hung-up. The rainfly has 2 vents and good zippers, top and bottom, on each door entrance. Each vestibule (2) can hold a 65L backpack, shoes, trekking poles and a few other items...but I bought this 2 person tent so that all my gear can go inside the tent with me. It's too bad that Peregrine no longer sells this tent. I paid $107, including shipping (no tax) for this tent, including footprint.

There are tents that have more frills: interior mesh pockets, gear loft, more "no see um mesh", etc....but I really like the simple things this tent does well.

...and yes, I slept in my tent.
