Excellent, simple handguard! - Phoenix Technology AK Handguard with Rails

Great basic handguard set for the price. It has a fairly slender, ergonomic design that I like better than the magpul AKM guards. The rear lobe that comes over the receiver makes a very natural spot for the supporting hand. It's got simple, classic lines that blend well with an AK, and the molding on the pieces I got was even and very clean. Lack of a heat shield could be an issue under heavy sustained fire, but it's hard to say, since they may have used really high-temp plastic. Still, only 4 stars because of that. If they'd made a version with a heat shield, I'd gladly pay double! So, if you wanna do mag dumps back to back, watch out (and post the video!). But, if you're not THAT kind of person, and just want a cheap, functional handguard that won't make your AK look like a tacticool toy, this is it.
