Does what its supposed to - Precision Armament Hypertap Muzzle Brakes, 5.56x45mm NATO

This really does mitigate recoil. It felt like shooting something barely stronger than a .22 cal. The only con, and it's a big one; the blowback you get in the face as the shooter. Also one set of ear-protection is not enough. You'll need to add foamies under the headset. It's absolutely uncomfortable, but it does the job well. The gas came back consistently throwing bukkake back into my face. Some even got into my eyes. I know know, I need a closed off type of eye protection like we had in the military.
