Gas redirecting (busting) charging handles have come a long way since I bought my first few. There are now units that are lighter, in a multitude of colors, that are substantially cheaper that other people simply rave about and make personal YouTube video reviews about: better they think they're ... blah, blah, blah. There are also obviously more expensive units available as well.
However, I have used PRI gas-reducing charging handles since buying my first suppressors to better my best AR15 and 10s and started using them in the early 2000s. I recall that my first gas redirecting charging handles were PRI: ones with the big military latches and some with the combat latches. They were top-notch then: reliable, and worked well going back 10-15+ years, and PRI has continued to keep up with the times, making larger and better sturdy units. The M84 is no different and is terrific. It's large, sturdy, ambidextrous, reliable, and WORKS great. PRI has advanced its products so that it can remain at the top of the food chain. The handle feels right; looks right and works right on my inexpensive ARs and my very expensive LMTs, LWRCIs, and POFs: suppressed and not. I really like them. I'll pay just a little bit more for a proven reliable product.
