TM's Review of Primary Arms PLx 6-30x56mm Rifle Scope, 34mm Tube, First Focal Plane (FFP)

Ok I guess I am going to be the odd man out on this scope review, but I am not overly impressed. I have a NF Nx8 4-32, and a Vortex Razor gen2 4.5-27 to compare this to side by side. The glass is on par with the NF and Vortex, no complaints there, my complaints are that this thing will just randomly loose focus, and come back in. In order to see if it was me before saying anything, I had a buddy shoot with it for a little bit and said the same thing. The second thing is the eyebox on this thing is super picky, move in any direction the slightest amount and the black creeps in way easier than the other two I have. The 3rd problem is the turrets, as some have said are very quiet, and have a slight amount of slop in them. If I knew then what I know now, I would have passed on this one and coughed up the extra $500 for another razorHD for this third rifle. This one is just a personal complaint on the reticle, I am not a fan of the chevron for an aiming point. Some like it, but I personally prefer a center dot. I will shoot with it a couple more times to see if my opinion improves, if not I will just off it and pick up another Razor, for a tier2 scope that one is hard to beat.

  • focus issues
