Nice but bigger than i pictured - Primary Arms 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope with 5.56/5.45/.308 Reticle

Since I purchased this for a rifle I ended up not buying, I returned this scope, and this review only covers my initial impressions out of the box. Had I purchased the intended rifle, I would have kept this scope, however.

Scope feels solid and well-made, but look at the overall dimensions before you buy because it was significantly bigger and heavier than I was expecting it to be. It's probably my misunderstanding, but I was picturing this to be on par with the size and weight of a 1-3x Weaver scope I have, and this feels like it's about 50% bigger than that (whether it actually is or not).

The integrated flip-up end caps were nice and seemed robust.

The reticle is crisp and clear, but I'm not sure how bright the brightest setting would be in full sun; I looked outside with it, and it seemed like the color maybe washed out more than my Vortex Spitfire?

Again, this was just a cursory inspection with no real actual use so YMMV. As I said above though, I liked this scope enough to have kept it had I actually had a use for it.
