Bolt instantly stripped out and broke - Primary Arms Classic 1 inch Rifle Scope Tactical Rings

While attempting to mount the these rings to my rifle one of the mounting screws immediately stripped, I've mounted many optics and am confident I was nowhere near putting enough force to strip out a bolt. Then as I was trying to remove that nut that clamps the rings on it snugged up and immediately sheared the bolt off. Not like a "ping" crack, but a smearing tear. The one bolt definitely had a very poor heat treat. I'm sure most of the rings are fine but when you get cheap rings, quality control isn't going to be as consistent, and I happen to get a bad one.
