Jsle's Review of Primary Arms Classic 3X LER GEN IV Red Dot Sights Magnifier

To be honest, this is a great product. I was skeptical of what a $100 magnifier would entail, but I know Primary Arms has a great reputation so I chose this over Vortex and the big name magnifiers. As far as a comparison to my Sig Romeo w/ a Juliet magnifier and my Eotech XPS & Eotech magnifer, I cant tell a significant difference that would warrant spending an additional $400-600. As far as durability, I am uncertain due to the lack of time I’ve had the magnifier. However, the field of view is great, no fish eying, and it has a crisp and clear view out of the optic. I would say the only downfall is the qd mount. It is difficult to transition the magnifier to the right and left. There’s a lot of force being used to grab the magnifier. Pulling back used a lot of force, but sliding left or right is smooth. I did continue to do this over and over in an attempt to loosen it up a bit. But even after a few hours of doing so, it is still very snug when transitioning. If anything, I would’ve opted for the swing away mount from a different manufacturer. Although the magnifier stays locked into place with no play, it’s just a lot of work to move it. To be honest, it’d be easier to pull the charging handle back than it would be to move the magnifier left or right. It pairs up perfectly with both my Eotech’s but seemed to be a 1/4” higher than my Sig Romeo. Hope this helps anyone out there looking for a magnifier.
