Very good scope for the money.
I got a recommendation for this scope from a gunsmith's apprentice when we were discussing higher priced scopes that I owned. He thought that this scope was as good or better than scopes that cost more than twice the amount of this scope's cost. I went on his recommendation, bought this scope and pl...

Wont hold zero
Had a very hard time sighting in because it would not track right, seemed like endless clicks just to have it barely move. After finally getting zeroed I put the rifle away for a few months and brought it back out to check zero before opening day just to have it shoot 10” high and 3” right. Scope wa...

poor low light performance
In low light conditions, any residual light across the sky obscures the glass. I’ve had several scopes Vortex, Athlon, Leupold none perform this poorly at dusk…. Middle of the day very clear nice scope…..

Okay scope for hunting applications
I assume this scope would be okay for hunting. This scope is not made for long range precision shooting. One issue is that the reticle is in milrads while the turret adjustment is in MOA this scope is not made for changing elevation on the fly by adjusting turrets. Did okay out to 200 yards. The built in hold overs are for specific calibers, bullet weights, elevation and velocity. See the owners manual.

Sweet scope fun and easy to use.
I have mounted this Primary Arms Orion 4-14x44mm riflescope to my 6.8 SPCII Daniel Defense barreled rifle. The scope is clear, focused and super easy to use. Adjustments are easy and reliable. My intentions are to use for hunts of western antelope and mule deer. The included documentation helps explain the quick and simple way to range animals of various sizes and distances. Fast, easy acquisition of targets at 200 yard range.
Pros:
- great value and easy to use
- Clear accurate ranging
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Hunting 10yd - 300yds
- Target shooting

great scope
First I must thanks to OpticsPlanet for making affordable for gun owners to purchase quality products. Although they have their flaws, nowhere on the internet you’ll find a online store that gives a ton of promotions and free shipping for orders $50 +
Now, this scope by primary arms is great budget scope, it tracks well and glass quality is on par with top brands. Give it a try you won’t regret it.

Very clear
Crisp, clear and mounts up tight. Received on time! If you take your time and zero the BDC is dead on. Holding zero after 400 rounds through my lr308. Doesn’t fish eye like other similar priced scopes.

Nice scope but not for me
This is a nice scope. Seemed well made, maybe a touch heavy, with decent glass for the money. I had high hopes but had the same problem with this scope that I have with most others. The ballistic compensating subtensions are too small, fine, and close together for me to see with my aging eyes. Not the scopes fault just reality. I have found only one scope that has lines other than the main reticle that I can see. To bad because I like the concept of this scope and it would have been a good fit for my 30-06 load.

Fantastic scope
I am very happy with this scope it's sharp and very light, The reticle on this scope is awesome and the BDC is great, pulling 1" groups at 100 without any issue, spot on out to 250yrds. Going to try 400 this week!

Great Scope for the money
really great scope for the money.
Mounted this on my savage model 16 in 308 and i find that the reticle is spot on both in hold over and range estimation.
Nothing comes close to this for an all around hunting scope in this price range.

Primary arms 4 x 14 x 44 rifle scope ACSS Orion
Very very good glass for what you pay for comparable to Vortex Viper or Leopold entry level five stars on just fit and finish and clarity of glass. Because let’s face it at the end of the day you want something that’s going to look crisp and clear no fog edges and be able to withstand the rigors of what your rifle does to these scopes. Besides weather and you dropping it, time will tell if it meets or exceeds the big name scopes.
Pros:
- Excellent glass for the money
Cons:
- Still made in China
Best Used for:
- Target shooting and hunting
