This is a good entry level LPVO for short range (25-300 yards). I like the NOVA reticle without caliber-specific BDC because those are only good for the specification used when designing the BDC graduations. The NOVA reticle has standard Mil or MOA tick marks, which are useful across all calibers. I liked this scope well enough that I purchased a second one only to find it’s too large for my 300 BLK SBR with 8-inch barrel. I went with a small prism sight instead for that rifle. On a standard AR-15 with a 12-20” barrel, this LPVO would fit fine, plus it’s among the lightest scopes in its class!
Pros:
- Competitively priced, really good 1x with daylight bright illuminated reticle, light weight, and seems built well.
Cons:
- The reticle is a little thick at 6x and can obscure small targets, the eye box is not very good at 5-6x and causes a fair amount of shading in the glass if your eye is not perfectly aligned.
Best Used for:
- 25-300 yards
- Small framed AR-15 platform, although a little too large for most SBRs.
