I have owned both pairs for 2.5 years and I must say that the Peltor are the nicer headset. I have used both indoors (handgun/12 guage) and outdorrs (12 gauge, .17HMR and 30-06. The Peltors feel beeter on and muffle sound much better. The Pro Ears have the highest db rating, yet the Peltor do a better job of sound deadening. Two of my shooting buddies have tried both and Peltor is the unanimous winner. Also, the battery location in the Pro Ears resembles what you might find in a $60 pair of Headset. The Pro Ears are by no means bad but the Peltor are superior.
Pros: good protection
Cons: flimsy construction
