Ben's Review of ProMag Mosin Nagant Archangel Tactical Stock

Let me start by saying I was really hoping this would be good.. I saw the reviews on here and assumed this is the exception to the quality promag normally brings to the table.. Which, honestly, is normally pretty meciocre/poor. I ordered the stock with the 10 round mag and was never able to use it as all the magazine ever wanted to do was straight up launch every round straight past the bolt carrier the moment you begin setting the mag into the stock, and there's absolutely no fix. I tried buying a 5 round mag as well afterwards with the same result. I tried every fix the promag released to fix these issues, and even had my local gunsmith look it over, to no avail. He said it is just poor design overall and its not worth it to try and cement out every issue with it. Their "lifetime warranty"? Doesn't actually matter, because they don't actually answer their phone number or return calls.. for the line SPECIFICALLY for warranties. I tried calling and leaving voicemails for over a week, and nothing. Eventually found their email and tried that route, and they did email me back eventually but all they did was give me an address to go to phoenix arizona and deal with it directly there and then wouldn't respond past that point. Maybe there are good ones out there, but I wouldn't know. I never got to try them out. Don't go for this thing in my opinion, just spend the extra money and get a boyds stock.
Pros:
  • Looks cool
Cons:
  • Doesn't actually function or cycle rounds.
  • Comes defective
  • Warranty cannot be fulfilled
Best Used for:
  • target practice (the mag that is)
