Most Helpful Positive Review Sig P220 magazine
These magazines will accept at least some HP ammo unlike my factory Sig mags. They do not like to load up past 7 rounds though, they get a spring bind. They seem to cycle fine, and drop from the well appropriately.
Most Helpful Negative Review ProMag is total JUNK
What a piece of Junk ripoff. The ProMag Will not even go all the way into the Pistol. Goes about half way into the mag well and then jambs tight. Another ProMag I have barely fits the pistol (requires force to insert or extract) Then the junk ProMag falls apart when fired. The base plate falls off ...

blued mags work in mine

by Frank, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on May 23, 2025
I initially bought stainless, they are really tight, not good mags at all; but they function. The blued mags are where it's at, they function and drop free easily. Buy the blued mags. My P220 was made in 1996.

pro mag sig p220

by Lion Heart, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on July 24, 2023
the mag is a a little bigger than a sig made mag does not slide out when ejected. You must pull it out manually. it fits to tight for the pistol I will not be using the two i bought. I don't like how tight they are or that they are a little longer. wish pro mag did a better job. I really can't stand how they get stuck!

does not work

by Lee, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on February 17, 2023
this magazine will not go more than an inch into the pistol. apparently Pro Mag is aware of this. they said they would send me a return form and exchange the silver one for a black one. Have ordered many other Pro Mag magazines and have had no problems before.
Pros:
  • Looks nice
Cons:
  • will not work
Best Used for:
  • decoration on a mantle place

Pro-Mag for Sig P220

by CharlieB, from AL, United States Written on June 2, 2022
I purchased two .45 mags from Pro-Mg in early 2021. Returned them in May because they would not fit my pistol. Received replacements in a month, saw they did fit, but never tested them in action. During annual firearms qualification in 2022, BOTH FAILED to advance ammo. Caused Stove pipe, failure to advance ammo, etc. Very WEAK SPRING

I did NOT ask to return these for rework. Twice Fooled, no need to risk my life.
I have "beat these to death" with a hammer as I was afraid to toss in trash in fear someone would find and try to use them.
Pros:
  • LOOK fine -Beware
Cons:
  • do NOT trust these . DO NOT FUNCTION
Best Used for:
  • paper weight

pro mag sig 220

by Dennis Key, from WA, United States Written on September 11, 2021
I purchase two of these magazines for a Sig P220. I will never buy Pro Mag products again. These mags are extremely hard to insert and nearly impossible to extract. I could only use them for paper weights. If your life depends on your reload, "your dead". Do not buy these mags.

2 X 8 rd mags that only held 7...

by Bergheil, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on July 23, 2020
I purchased 2 of these mags, and was really excited when they came in. I loaded them up and I wasn't able to get an 8th round in either one. One of these mags wouldn't fall out of the magazine well (I had to grab it and yank). The nail on this "8 rd" coffin, neither one kept the slide back when empty.

These are completely unacceptable and I will be returning immediately.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Does not work
  • poor workmanship and QC
  • Not an 8 round magazine

Waste of time

by Josh, from IN, United States Written on June 11, 2020
This does not fit, tried to fit the mag while empty and could not get it to go with out much more force than I was willing to use. This is what I get for trying to buy a mag that’s half the cost of sig factory, but they are unavailable everywhere. Oh, and it took over 6 weeks to get this non fitting mag, it is being returned as I type this.

Cons:
  • does not fit

ProMag Sig P220

by CollectorPete, from MI, United States Written on June 11, 2020
Not recommended. Pros: Magazines hold ammo, fit and finish is decent. 10-round in place of 8. Cons: Rounds tend to nose dive out of magazine. The base cover is loose and is a touch too long and causes the magazine to jam into the grip, making magazine removal difficult.
