I decided to try these pants since I already own 3 pairs of PROPPER’s Summerweight shorts. I am extremely satisfied with the shorts, and the pants are no different. The materials that are used are very lightweight compared to other tactical pants I’ve tried. There is plenty of “give” in the material, so squatting in these pants is surprisingly comfortable. The material breaths very well, and dries very fast when wet. They wick moisture away from the body, and still retain their light weight since they dry so quickly. They are true to fit, so make sure you order your usual waist size, or one size up if you are using an inside the waistband holster. Plenty of pockets for storage, including zippered pockets just above the standard cargo thigh pockets, which are hook and loop closure (Velcro). The front pockets have a reinforcement in the outside seam so you can clip a retractable key/ID holder without tearing away. The back pockets are also zippered, which is different from the shorts. I like the zippers better, since the Velcro on the shorts always seem to snag the back of my shirt. The pockets are a mesh material, which aids in moisture wicking as well. The general rule is that cotton will retain moisture for much longer than man made materials such as polyester or nylon. Some manufacturers make the mistake of making their pockets out of cotton, so in high heat, you’re walking around with wet pockets! Not very comfortable. You will never have that issue with these pants.
