Doug's Review of Pulsar Digisight N750 Digital Night Vision Rifle Scope w/ IR Illuminator
I have dabbled with night hunting using Gen I+ NV for the last few years. I had had pretty good luck using Yukon products, as long as I used a good illuminator. I decided I wanted to upgrade, but wasn't interested in Gen III PVS-14 or the like due to the cost. Even quality gen II runs over $2k, and tube life can be short... So I decided to try digital.
I am very impressed. Totally functional, even on a heavily overcast night with no moon. The laser illuminator on the unit is superb. I could see detail in objects at over 400 yards. Definitely a huge step up. in addition, because it can be used in the day, it was easy to sight in, and the one shot zero really worked.
If you are looking for a huge upgrade to your gen I, or looking for a great unit to start with, and are trying to stay under $2000, I say give it a shot.
