Chuck's Review of Pulsar Digisight N750 Digital Night Vision Rifle Scope w/ IR Illuminator

I have been hunting with this scope for three years now and really like it. For as much fun I've had hunting with friends, it has more than "paid for itself". A few observations from someone who had no prior experience with night vision. 1.) Bone stock this thing is pretty awesome. IDing deer, pigs, and other game really isn't difficult out to around 200 yards. You just have to pay very good attention to the animals silhouette and coloring. 2.) Adding a IR flashlight really steps up the game! I wish I would have realize that my first year. Adding an IR flashlight is the BEST mod you can do for this scope. 3.) As mentioned in some reviews, I did the Yukon lens modification to my scope. It is both amazing and horrible at the same time. It added major distance to the scope. I could see and ID deer and pigs much much further away. The picture became a slightly more grainy, but not enough to be a hinder. The biggest drawl backs of the Yukon mod are that I find it changes your POI, so if you sight the rifle in with it on and then remove it in the field you will no longer be on target. The second problem is that when using the lens you are SO zoomed it, if your target is within 100 yards its easy to lose it in the scope if it runs after your first shot.

If I was to do it all over again, I'd get this scope and a nice/powerful IR flashlight. I had no issue with this set up! (Coyotes and deer do notice the IR flashlight way more than the stock little IR on the scope.)
Pros:
  • Price
  • Weight
  • easy to zero and to operate
Cons:
  • weak stock IR
Best Used for:
  • pigs
