Continue to miss easy shots because it won't hold a consistent zero. I shot and adjusted zero every three days for nine days. Each time tested, the impact group had shifted from zero.

I’ve owned my XP50 for just over 2 years and really like the features and options. But I have a big issue with the scope. The problem is I can sight it in and works great. Use it a time or two then find it to be way off. For example I sighted it in last week and was shooting groups in the 1”- 1.5” range. Today I went out and now it’s shooting 3 feet to the right. This is a common issue and is a problem on both AR’s I’ve tried it on. Been in for service once and guess I’ll send it in again next week. Very disappointed.

I bought the xq 50 Trail and the xq 38 Helion. I like everything about the optics except for the Trail will not hold zero! I believe that temperature fluctuation is moving the innards of the scope. I contacted them and told them of my problem. They instructed me to sent the scope back to them. They sent me another xq50 Trail and I had the same problem with the replacement scope. They won't give me my money back. So now I am stuck with a useless thermal scope.
I live in ND. I am hunting typically in temperatures from zero to 40 degrees. I can zero this scope before I go hunting, and an hour of two later, can't hit the broadside of a coyote at 50 yds.
should have bit the bullet and bought a trijicon

I've use this scope since 2018 with ZERO issues. Awesome clarity and easy to use. No Issues that have been listed on some of the other reviews.
Battery packs are great and will last several hunts. I use day and night without any issues. Mine has no problem holding zero and is very accurate and I love the one shot zero!
Pros:
- Clarity
- battery life
- all the features built in
Cons:
- Cost but you can't cheap out like I tried to do and sent the competitors thermal back
Best Used for:
- Anything you want to hunt or just to shoot targets with. Fun the play with

I purchased this scope October 2019. After initial setup it was stored in my safe for a few weeks. When I eventually took it out to mount it it would not turn on even though the battery was fully charged. I was told by Pulsar to ship it to Texas for repair which I did. After a month I was contacted and told the scope was deemed irrepairable and I would be sent a new one. Then, a few weeks later I was contacted again and told this scope was no longer available due to numerous issues and I was offered the Pulsar Thermion XP50 in exchange which is supposed to be shipped sometime next week. So, apparently this scope is no longer in production according to the certified repair location in Texas due to many issues with it.
Cons:
- expensive, broke after setup

This thermal scope has everything you could want. Exceptional identification range, great clarity, and many features. This is the perfect scope for identifying objects day or night. It picks up on the smallest things from birds to small rodents. I even use it for looking for my dogs in my wooded lot when I let them out at night. The one negative feature is that it only includes black hot and white hot. Although this is not a problem in most hunting or identification purposes, it does have a drawback of degree of heat identification. I am an electrical contractor and this could be used to identify overheating circuits but there is no ability to distinguish heat levels easily.
Cons:
- Only black and white hot color options
Best Used for:
- Identification and rifle hunting

Title says it all and disqualifies it as an option for a weapon mounted sight. Like the other review state's: it's a paper weight. I have lots of other complaints but there is no point explaining when the scope can't be used. Beware this issue is not fixed. Pulsar claimed the flaw was repaired with a firmware update but that is not true.
