These are a bifocal design where the regular viewing area is non magnified. There is a small section at the bottom that is magnified which would have been acceptable to me if it was placed in a useful area, but it is not. In order to see through the magnified section I have to tilt my head back quite a bit and look as far down as I can with my eyes which is very uncomfortable and not practical at all. I have found this to be the case with many safety bifocals. This is why I decided to get a full reader which I was lead to believe these were based off of the title and description.
