Radian talon - Radian Weapons Talon Ambidextrous Safety Selector 2-Lever KIT

Not impressed! I decided to try this out, due to the badger ordnance always being on backorder. After receiving it appeared to be a quality unit, the levers are very well machined and look great. Installation was a breeze however the function was just awful. The positive engagement I was looking for just isn’t there. It feels gritty and doesn’t positively engage in the 90 degree position. I tried the 45 degree which was somewhat better, but still felt like it was dragging against sandpaper. I tried swapping springs as well as the detent to no avail. The shorter spring made engagement easier but it still wouldn’t give a positive snap and continued to feel extremely gritty. I love Radian and have tons of their products, I am confident they would send out a new unit to address the problem but I’d rather just return this. I may try the GI version as the ambi lever does contact my trigger finger. I have large hands (XXL Mechanix gloves) you may not run into the same issue. So far the best safety I have ever felt was the A.S.S safety by Elftman. It has the fastest positive engagement but for defensive rifles, I use Badger Ordnance. If I was dead set on this safety I could polish the groove where the detent rides, but then I would be modifying the product.
