Beans's Review of Rainier Arms MARS Magazine Advanced Release System for Glock

So far and So good. I’m impressed and more it seems as I use the magazine release with other digits.
The home defense pistols got the upgrade as well. Glock 17 gN2 and Glock 19 gN3. The extension protrudes more than the OEM release and less than a Ghost Extended mag release.
The grip surface on both generations is very positive just larger on the gN4/5.
The grip texture differs a little from left to right although it goes unnoticed at the range. I use the driving hand thumb or index finger most and both digits lately to drop mags.
The finely machined- expertly finished aluminum looks as sharp as it functions. I read something about metal parts on polymer and how it wears. Flawless operation with little to no drag says less wear and tear to me. Ultimately time will tell. It’s only my opinion but I have one on every Glock to date. I’ve also started shooting my Glock pistols more again. I’m 1200 rounds in and roughly 300 through each pistol with the upgraded magazine release. The Glock 17 has the softest touch to release but the spring the is the original OEM gN2 spring. Needs replacing but I didn’t experience any issue.
It’s a game changer because I was Glock challenged. I wasn’t anti Glock I was anti Glock-tardy. I’ve since hung up my Compact USP but releasing the mag with jacked thumbs was always a challenge for me on gN3 9/40 frames. No longer an issue and I can place my focus on other aspects of firearms safety-training. This little device leveled up my reloading 10 fold.
