A good investment - RCBS Pro-Melt Furnace 120 V-ac - 81100

I have had a chance to drop several thousand rounds with this furnace since received from Optics Planet. Setup and operation in this time has been flawless. I have only a couple of observations worth sharing...

My furnace will trip any GFCI (ground fault interupting circuit) to which it is connected. An internet search indicates that this is somewhat common. An exention cord to a standard outlet resolves my problem. This occured on all three of my GFCI outlets.

Second thought is that the mold support bar under the pour spout could really use a roller or perhaps a smoother finish. This is only an annoyance because the mold does not slide smoothly from one void to the next. I'll probably just thread a plastic straw and replace if I drip.

Speaking of drips... this thing will only drip if I bump the handle. The pour speed adjustment is also a great feature.

While this is my first furnace, and I doubt it will need replacing, I would definitely purchase again and the price at Optics Planet was the best on the web.
