J's Review of Real Avid 1911 Field Guide

I recently got into the 1911 platform club. I have had a number of firearms through out my life. I know of few pistols that require so much cussing to reassemble. This simple and well thought out "do this next" cheat sheet is pretty cool. The pictures are color coded through a exploded diagrams of the various parts of the gun. The Card stock is coated with a plastic so it can take a few drops of solvent or other maintenance product. You do get a little bit of history in with the instructions. You can take some of the cards out if you would like, probably use a card to prevent the idiot scratch. No really my 1911 was used it already had one.....
As a stocking suffer, something to take home w your first 1911, a crutch for us who suffer from CRS syndrome. However you come to own this I can't see any reason not to like or recommend it.

I did have my 1911 get a little grumpy on the range and the lanes were empty so no A hole to tell me how it is supposed to be done and other rubbish I have had float in one ear and out of the other. I was able to flip open the booklet that fits right in the 1911's box, do a quick check and was right back in the 10X. Range is a dead zone so finding some "dude" on you tube for an answer was not an option ha ha
