Ryan's Review of Real Avid Armorer's Master Wrench
This is way more money than it's worth, to me. I couldn't use this for my Strike Industries Viper PDW stabilizer because of the angle that the the castle nut wrench is on this tool, it doesn't allow any turning before the tool hits the rails on the stabilizer. The Diamondhead VRS handguard I got was non-standard apparently and also had no use for this tool. All in all, I would have been better off spending $10-20 on a simple armorer's wrench off ebay that has no angled castle nut area.
I imagine this tool is good for your run of the mill AR build, where you have an adjustable stock M4 buffer tube, etc, and a typical handguard, but I wanted to build something non-typical.
It's constructed well, but if I were to criticize, the handle covers are cheap plastic, the laser etching is crooked, and it was clearly not made in USA...not that it claims to be, but just saying that Real Avid is keeping a low cost business running in a way that extracts a lot of money from people.
I will have to return this unused tool so I can put money more wisely into the build next time.
