Real avid sight pusher - Real Avid Master Sight Pusher Tool

Greetings: At first I was a bit reluctant to spend around $150.00 for a tool I would only occasionally use. But having an opportunity to use an 11% discount code plus a few more dollars off with my OP Bucks made the purchase a little easier to justify. The day it arrived I utilized it to install the also newly acquired rear sight for my CZ P-10 C pistol. This tool is a well constructed, heavy duty piece of equipment. The tolerances are very close & tight to allow precision installation of these most times hard to press in rear sight assemblies. With this tool I can carefully but almost effortlessly apply the substantial torque necessary to slide the most stubborn dovetail sight into place. The mandrel that makes physical contact with the sight assembly is made to turn one way for installation of sight assemblies made with an angled leading edge, or flip it 180 degrees for sights made with a 90 degree perpendicular leading edge. Please be careful & pay attention to be sure to use the appropriate pusher profile. Due to the pressure required to install most of these close tolerance dovetail sights, if you select the wrong pusher profile, you can easily produce a dimple the edge of your sight. Not the end of the world, but doesn’t look very pretty. I’m guessing this tool could also do substantial damage to your new sight if improperly used. So pay attention, read the instruction manual included with the tool, pace yourself with your efforts & after a little patience & work, you can achieve “Gunsmith” quality results with proper use of this tool. I’m estimating that if I use this tool to successfully install replacement sights on 2-3 additional firearms, it has paid for itself. Plus I get the satisfaction of having installed the sights myself.
