Excellent tool for outdoor enthusiasts - Real Avid Multi-Cutter Portable Multi-Tool

I was initially concerned that due my small hand size and occasionally limited grip strength that the uber sturdy Real Avid Multi Cutter would be difficult to use. I was pleased to discover that despite its size and heft this was not the case.

The Real AVID Multi Cutter offers a wonderful selection of tools for any outdoors activity. I have tried and used multiple multi tools over the years and could never find one that had exactly all of the tools that I need when afield. Whether you are a hunter, angler, camper, forager no matter your outdoor passion, the Real Avid Multi Cutter offers everything you might need in the field.
Pros:
Rubber grip handle well made, well designed, ergonomic grip and not slippery in damp wet situations.
Stainless steel cutting shears w/ 1/2" cutting notch and shears lock works extremely well for trimming small branches to clear a shooting lane, add to brush on blind. Additionally the shears are excellent for snipping wings off game birds, or legs off small furbearers when cleaning them in the field.
Brush/limb saw This worked great for some of the larger limbs, and making an adjustment or two again to a waterfowl blind brush set up. I also found it very handy for grabbing a few smaller limbs for fire making.
3" 440 drop point knife & 440 claw point knife - Both very sharp and sturdy, These I used for cleaning small game. The claw point works very well for making the more precise cuts used when cleaning small game or birds. No need now to carry an assortment of knives in my pack!
Universal choke wrench - Extremely handy to have in the field. Ive lost many a choke wrench out of my pockets and packs while walking or misplaced in a blind never to be seen again. This is a brilliant addition to this tool making it even more suited to any hunting excursion.
Tree step starter - While I dont use a tree stand, I found this tool to work very well when starting holes for a variety hooks to hold lights, lanterns, small game during cleaning.
Pin punch This worked great to add a few addition holes to a couple of tarps, and some leather strapping. I havent had an opportunity to use it on any of the guns yet, but anticipate that it will work extremely well.
Ballistic nylon sheath In general my preference for a sheath is a clip vs a loop because I dont often wear a belt. This sheath is well designed and sturdy, but again my personal preference would have been a clip versus the loop. I solved this by simply securing the tool in a pocket vs hanging it on my belt. I also used it on pack strap and the loop held up well to some twisting and wrangling around.
Cons: The only reason that I didnt give this a full five stars is the lack of a locking mechanism on the knives. This was occasionally problematic, causing the knife blade to slip and fold slightly. This could present a bit of a safety hazard for those used to using knives with locking blade.

Overall: The Real AVID Multi Cutter is an excellent all around tool for anyone who enjoys the outdoors; regardless of you chosen pursuit. The product is well made, well designed, offers a good variety of tools needed in the outdoors, and is priced at an affordable point. Excellent value. I would highly recommend it to a friend
