Real avid viz-max bore sighter - Real Avid Viz-Max Laser Bore Sighter

I have had a couple of laser foresights in the past and no mater what model at what price, they were what I had hoped or worked as good as advertised.
Since I really liked the Real Avid products I had bought, I was interested what they had to offer as a laser bore sighter. I was not disappointed at all. The product is really rugged and is of a unique design.
I really love that big magnet at the base to attach to the barrel of your firearm instead some spindle that has to be matched in size to the calibre of the firearm. It attached easily to the barrel of my pistols so that I may adjust my RMRs. After seeing how good it performed and how easy it was to use, my range buddy had me to zero his open sights and RMR on the pistols he had brought to the range It's so easy to use!
Now when I took my shotgun to the range, because of the big bore, I had to be careful not to jiggle it lest the Bore Sighter falls off. When I changed the breacher choke to the stock choke, the stability was some better.
When the Bore Sighter did fall off, the battery compartment door fell off and the batteries popped out, quite annoying. I conquered this slight problem with a simple 2 inch piece of painters tape.
I would suggest that it would be a easy fix to gently use painters tape to steady the Bore Sighter on the barrel of your firearm...be sure to have the Bore Sighter centered properly. I would suggest if you are storing the Bore Sighter for any length of time, it's best to remove the batteries from the battery compartment.
The Real Avid Viz-Max Bore Sighter is well made and is a snap to use for any caliber firearm...just follow the directions that comes with the product.
