Blade is stout and very sharp,appears to be full tang as magnet indicates although not width wise. Well balanced and ergonomic grip. I must say that it does pay to shop around because the Rep'r website is selling this item for 19.99, doh! Oh well, O.P. has saved me more than the difference with their free shipping alone just this year. As far as longevity through hard use goes, I can't yet know. Since it's a 420 stainless steel, 3/16" thick blade, I feel like it would take a long time to wear out. Word to the wise. Be careful, one slip and you'll be going on an E.R. trip.
