Pay attention to finish - Rearden MFG R2S HT Flash Hider

I purchased this flash hider for use with a Heat Treat Atlas adapter. The machining and finish looked great, and I believe it would have performed well. However, after doing more research on Heat Treat finishes, I learned that using it in combination with an HT Atlas adapter could cause galling when both mating parts have the same treated finish. This is more of a compatibility concern than a product flaw, but it led me to return the item. For anyone planning to run two HT-treated adapters together, be aware of the potential for galling on the threads.
