Most Helpful Positive Review REDDING TURRET PRESS
I have been reloading since 1967. Have used single stage, other turret press and progressive presses. My son wanted a press to get into reloading, I ordered the redding press. We have been using it for several weeks and I am impressed how easy it will turn out 125 rounds an hour. Very easy to use as opposed to a progressive, and much faster then a single stage. This press is one of the best deals for the new handloader.

Solid with small quirks.

by Ed Nichols, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on March 19, 2026
I've been reloading for 50 years and this press was the first up grade to my bench in almost 30 years. I put this on a 4" quick change Inline fabrication mount which really increases visibility. The first turret was quickly filled by the dies needed to complete the various 45-70 loads I use. One issue I noticed immediately is getting to the setscrews on the die lock rings is a bit challenging do to a lack of space. Nothing really, if you can shorten your allen wrench. Once set up I think it's a good idea to use a sharpie and number the stations and in your caliber log book write which die is for what load. In 45-70, if your going to use Hornady 250 grain monoflex bullets your cases will be roughly a 1/16" shorter than normal. I like this press. I like the roller handle udgrade I put on mine to.
Pros:
  • Options in Caliber set up
Cons:
  • Shorten your allen wrench.
Best Used for:
  • Multiple
  • Multiple loads of the same caliber.

T-7 Turret press

by Jerry, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on June 10, 2025
The press is very well built. I've been using single stage for a very long time, and I've been skeptical about turret press. Not any more. Definitely, I would recommend it. Especially when you reload more different calibers, like myself.

Easy to install and use, a lack of instruction made it a little difficult to setup and use but thank God for on-line videos.

Really excellent press

by jls, from KY, United States Written on January 26, 2021
This press is my chief tool for loading everything but .223 - there's a Dillon 650 for that. The Redding gives me a really consistent platform to build very good ammo with minimal changeover time between calibers. That's the downside for the 650.
It has built really good rounds in 6BR, .260 Rem, .308 Win, and .45-70. If you're changing calibers for shorter production runs the Redding T7 is awfully hard to beat.
Pros:
  • Very quick changeover
Cons:
  • nothing to note
Best Used for:
  • lower volume runs
