Excellent spotting scopoe - Redfield Rampage 20-60x60mm Spotting Scope Kit

I was looking for a new spotting scope to replace the really cheap, fuzzy one I've been using for several years and based on the numerous reviews I read online I decided to give this Redfield Rampage a try. Optics Planet offered it for a good price with free shipping so I went ahead and ordered it. Well, I received it yesterday and immediately took it outside to test out the features and optical clarity. I am very happy to report that I am very pleased with my purchase. The focusing knob functions smoothly and the optics are extremely clear, crisp and bright. At 20 and 40 power the image is crystal clear, at full 60 power the image is a tad bit darker but is still extremely clear. I am really impressed with the clarity of the optics on this unit. This spotting scope is going to make my trips to the shooting range much more enjoyable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I don't like padded case that the unit slips into. The outside case with the shoulder strap is of good quality and works well, however the padded sleeve case that the unit is supposed to slip into is a very, very tight fit. I actually had a difficult time removing the unit from the sleeve and it's such a tight fit I actually can't slide it back into the sleeve. It's to bad because it really is a nice padded sleeve and has cut outs so you can use the scope while it's in it's sleeve, however it's to tight of a fit. Perhaps it's just the sleeve that I received, I don't know, but I won't be using the padded sleeve anyway so I really don't care to much about this issue. Anyway, this scope is really nice with great optics and features. If you're looking for a new, reasonably priced spotting scope then look no further and order one of these.
