Most Helpful Positive Review Works great on my 760 pump
This product works great. Includes everything you need. Longer bolt for synthetic stock and butpad. Remington puts it into same box as 870 so instructions are not right and it states will not work on 760's but it will on post 1968 models. Packaging isn't the best almost lost screws to buttpad. Only complaint is Remington not putting sling swivels on the buttstock. To put on a 760 remove forend bolt pull off( might be stuck) put this one in will click into place to remove butt stock just take off the recoil pad and take off bolt put new one in with longer bolt very easy.

Excellent conversion kit

by Coop, from PA, United States Written on January 29, 2020
I purchased this kit to replace my old wooden stock and forend that had a hard but plate. The kit fit my reminton 7600 perfectly and with the cushioned recoil pad it has made my 06 a pleasure to shoot once again. I hadn't shot my 06 in a while as being older now my neck and shoulder couldn't handle the recoil from the hard but plate on the wooden stock anymore. Thanks for the excellent kit!
Pros:
  • Excellent at reducing felt recoil.
Cons:
  • None for me

Nothing cheap about it

by The Dude, from NC, United States Written on December 28, 2019
This stock and fore end is a holdover from before manufacturers were willing allow the word "cheap" to be associated with their products. It looks good (as good as plastic can anyway), it feels good and it functions good. And optics planet had the best price I have seen. It was a slam dunk for me.

Fits 1969 and later 760 Gamemaster rifles

by Todd, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on October 26, 2019
After doing a little research online, I found that this particular stock (Remington part # 19492) will fit 1969 and newer 760 Gamemaster pump action rifles. So I bought this one, put it on my 1969 30/06 - 760, and it fit perfectly!! No modifications necessary, looks great, and functions properly. Comes with all necessary hardware and a nice butt pad for the stock. I was able to easily look up the year of my rifle online or you can contact Remington personally. This is a nice modern upgrade for my older rifle that has been hunted with hard over the years, plus I’m a fan of synthetic stocks. I highly recommend this to anyone who would like to upgrade their 1969 and newer 760 Gamemaster.
Pros:
  • Great Fit!!
Cons:
  • None!!

Remington 19492 Stock/Forend for Model 7600 Synthetic Black

by Rick, Verified Owner from WV, United States Written on July 4, 2016
I ordered the 19492 Stock and Forend for the Remington 7600. This will also fit the Remington Model 760
with minor alteration between the stock and receiver. My gun is a .270 made in 1982. The stock and forend
looks and fits great. Thanks Optics Planet.

Perfection!

by Mad Rooster, from WI, United States Written on January 30, 2016
I searched all over for a reasonably priced alternative to my dads shiny wooden stock on his Remington 760 after he gave it to me. Optics planet had it in stock. After some very attentive emails, I got it! The box says for Remington 7600, will not fit 760. However, did some research before buying and found that it would fit on 760's manufactured after a certain date. The stock has a hollow sound, but solved with adding spray foam insulation. Also bought a single point sling adapter for an 870 20 gauge and now have an awesome set up for the woods! Simple installation with included instructions. Couldn't be happier. If you are looking for an alternative to the stock wood,or just want to keep the wood nice for future generations, this is it!
