Made for marlin - Remington 22 Thunderbolt .22 Long Rifle 40 Grain Round Nose Brass Rimfire Ammunition

I have shot this round exclusively out of a 1930's production Marlin 39 and after several thousand rounds have had ZERO malfunctions. It is the perfect velocity and weight for a varmint gun and is stupid accurate. I sighted in using this round and was nailing quarters off a branch within an hour. By the end of that summer I killed Chiselers by the dozen at a hundred yards off-hand in the wind with this round, as well as Chipmunks (yes, they are small) off of fenceposts whilst running across. Can reach out surprisingly far too; just for fun, aimed at a boulder on the hillside about 500yds away and managed to hit it after accounting for some generous drop. I have tried a few other loadings of 22 and this one seems to be a match made in Heaven with the old gun. Most confident shooting I have ever done with any gun, and I will never switch ammos in it.
