Screws damaged my scope - Reptilia ROF Riser for Trijicon RMR

I had bought an ROF-SAR 30mm RMR mount to pair my RMR to my Credo LPVO but the top turret blocked half of the RMR's window, so I bought the 10mm riser. Unfortunately, the screws that came with the riser were a bit too long and after removing the mount, I found that the screws had made two tiny craters on top of my new scope. To make matters worse, it seems that the 2.5mm Riser would have had has just enough height to offset the scope's turret, so I'll probably trade the 10mm Riser for the 2.5mm Riser.

The moral of this story: Verify that the mounting screws don't extend into ring's interior prior to fitting it to your scope.
